A Closer Look At Teeth May Mean More Fillings

This article discusses the implications of furthering biotech science in the dentistry field. They are saying that with new and improved technology, dentists can see smaller and smaller issues that they feel the need to fix, when a lot of the time there is no medical necessity to fix it. They discuss “microcavities” that can now be filled before it becomes a cavity or any signs of decay take shape. The scientific community is divided on this issue because some say that it’s good that they can deal with issues before they become a problem, whist others say that its unnecessary and costly because some of the issues would never even come to fruition as a cavity.
