Strain of Drug Resistant Gonorrhea Discovered

In advance of Wednesday's debate concerning antibiotic resistance, I'm posting a recent article from BBC News  reporting that the Swedish Reference Laboratory has just found a variant of the bacteria that causes gonorrhea that has "shown a remarkable capacity to develop resistance mechanisms to all drugs introduced to control it." This adds to growing concern that traditional methods of treating infectious diseases like gonorrhea will not be as effective in the face of new antibiotic resistance.
