Scientists Solve DNA Puzzle of the Black Death

In the 1300's the Black Death plague reaped London and killed thousands of people. Researchers and scientists have reconstructed and found full DNA of a microbe that within five years felled one- third to one-half of the population of Western Europe. The DNA is taken from the teeth of skeleton's that were dug up from a grave site. With this discovery researchers hope to recreate the microbe and be able to better understand the disease and what caused the break out.
