Study: Bone drug boosts breast cancer survival

 

The drug Zometa is a daily pill that was meant to combat osteoporosis.  Its effects, however, may be a life prolonging cancer drug.  It was given to women going through chemotherapy treatment as a supplement but has proved to have increased survival and ward off remission.  The numbers provided in the article prove that this drug has helped women to survive cancer.
