Russia agrees with Canada’s decision to leave the Kyoto Protocol, agreeing that this treaty will not help the environment since China and the United States are not a part of it. Russia revealed that it will not take on any new commitments with this proposal in the future. Canada and Russia are joined by Japan in the refusal to take on new commitments.
