Peptide 'Cocktail' Elicits Immune Response to Multiple Myeloma
A "cocktail" of immune-stimulating peptides was created by scientists at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. This combination of peptides have shown promising results in lab tests and is believed to have enough merit to enter the clinical trial phase with testing on humans. Multiple myeloma is a cancer in which abnormal blood cells accumulate in bones and other organs. This peptide cocktail is believed to attack multiple myeloma in the early phase and slow or even prevent the blood cancer.
