Gene Discovered for Weaver Syndrome

Weaver Syndrome is a genetic disorder that causes large birth size, tall stature, childhood developmental delay and intellectual disability. Currently the diagnoses of this disorder is by assessment of a child's  face, growth, and skeleton. Scientists have discovered a gene that causes this disorder and now genetic testing can be done to confirm a diagnoses. There may be other genes that cause Weaver Syndrome, but they have not been discovered yet.
