A New Breed of Flu Shot to Avoid Getting Sick as a Dog

It is not something people think of on a daily basis, but pets can get sick too. A recent flu virus that is affecting dogs on the east coast is a strain of virus that mutated from a horse. While humans can't get the same viruses as a canine, they can be carriers. The same procedures goes in for fighting germs that might affect canines. Washing hands, cleaning dog toy, etc are common ways to avoid transferring diseases to animals.
