Where Germs Lurk on Planes

As people head out to warmer areas after finals, it is easy to forget that airports and airplanes are popular areas people get sick. In a recent study, people increase their chance of catching a cold by 20% when flying on an airplane. When ventilation was not on in an airplane, the chance of catching a cold increased to 70%. There are basic ways to avoid getting sick during flights. If you are sitting next to a sick flyer, it is okay to ask for a different seat. Bring sanitation wipes for the small table and always wash your hands.
