Scientists have found a "living battery" at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. As these microbes that live near Hydrothermal vents consume the chemicals coming from these vents, they create an electrical current that flows through the walls of the structures they inhabit. The charge is modest, but it could potentially create perpetual energy. Perhaps this is the newest renewable energy?
