Starving Vegan Orangutans?

Orangutans in Borneo's forests are often on the margin of starving says Nathaniel Dominey of Dartmouth. The primate's food supplies have always fluctuated and being able to view how these "near vegans" react to dire conditions might be insightful on quickly adapting animals in the world. Maybe animals will be able to react more quickly to climate change than we think?
