The Conservation War

A recent study shows that one-fifth of all vertebrate species are in danger of going extinct. Interestingly, 13 percent of the entire world's land is under protection. When species are going extinct because of humans, there is something inherently wrong with that. This brings up the conservation issue again, and this quote sums it up rather well, "But in a world where economic values almost always trump environmental ones, this may be the best we hope for."
There is hope yet for animals and our planet, we just must remain cognizant of our choices and actions now and into the future.
