Blocking HIV

New research published in the open access journal "PLoS Pathogens" reports how scientists have discovered new evidence on what HIV uses to enter and infect our cells. When HIV enters the nucleus of our cells, it disables our immune system causing the disease AIDS. This discovery on how the virus enters our cells provides valuable information in the search for a cure for AIDS< and new anti-AIDS drugs. This search for a cure for AIDS continues, and scientists continue to search for a way to kills strains of the drug-resistant virus.
