This article explains how a good majority of young kids who are active in sports are still overweight because of their eating habits. An interesting fact that they said is that kids who eat more fast food and sports drinks become more overweight than their peers due to the extra calorie intake. The writer made a good point that since athletes have such weird practice and game times during the day, this causes meals through out the day to become “on-the-run” events which usually consist of fast food instead of healthy foods with fruits and vegetables in their diets.
