UN Meets to Discuss Climate Change Problems

This past weekend the 17th conference of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. This anual conference firmly believes in the threat of global warming and our deteriorating ozone layer. It is designed to work towards beating global warming on an international scale. The meeting reportedly made little progress, but some ideas were changed. The UN is making an effort to help all nations cut down on emissions, not just industrialized ones. It also works to help third world countries whoa rea affected the most by drastic climate change, natural disasters, and rising sea levels. The conference ended with a promise to put together a new global treaty, and raise money for a new climate fund.
