This article is about an interview concerning the use of biotechnology in Africa. The man being interviewed was Kenyan and current professor at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Calestous Juma. Throughout the interview Juma seems to find it necessary that Africa look to science to improve their methods of agriculture. Also, and most predominantly, Juma speaks about the need of Universities to instruct scientists of these new methods. Africa needs new, innovative scientists to improve agriculture in Africa. According to Prof. Juma, the job is not yet done.
This article is biased. Because it is in interview format, the article is only the views of one person; therefore only one side is accounted for. I do find the information to be credible. Prof. Calestous Juma is a professional in this field and is also from Africa. When talking, he is speaking for the improvement of the country and for the food safety of fellow Africans.
