"What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." Strangely true, in this study. It turns out, that if you fall in between psychological adversity, you can actually become a more resilient person. That is, people who faced little-to-no adversity experienced more psychological problems than someone who had experienced some traumatic experiences. On the other hand, people who faced a lot of adversity had just as many psychological problems as someone who hasn't. The trick is to fall in between.
