The Sense of Smell that Separated Us

In an analysis of Homo sapien and Neanderthal brains, scientists believe that Homo sapiens contain about 12% more olfactory bulbs and larger temporal lobes. Since there is such a strong correlation between smell and the emotional, memory, and fear sectors of the brain, scientists believe that this stronger sense of smell was the reason Homo sapiens outlived the Neanderthals.
