Predicting the Future of Science and Technology

Readers of the New York Times, along with scientists make predictions in this article concerning the future of science and technology. Some predictions for 2020 and beyond include cures for intractable diseases, direct links between the human brain and computers, contact with alien life forms, and no language barriers. Predictions from specialized scientists say that in the year 2019, there will be a universal medical database that will include a persons medical history from birth to death, available to all different doctors. They also predict it will take 65 years to connect our brains to the internet. Some are very interesting, others are worrisome.
