In Columbus, Ohio, a lawmaker explained the importance of the heartbeat of a fetus and, therefore, is in favor of changing when abortions are outlawed, which is now when the first detected fetal heartbeat is found (which sometimes can happen six weeks into pregnancy). Although some are for the bill, some are against it too, saying that it is “another attack on individual rights.” In conclusion, we don’t know if this bill will pass because it is a pretty big change and abortion is always a tough subject to bring up in the newspaper.
