Missing Lincs

Scientists have only recently begun to look more into lincRNA, which is now thought to show proteins where to go, and help cellular development to continue. Researchers now believe it is what makes humans humans and other animals other animals. In humans, 93 percent of the genome is made into RNA, even though protein-coding genes make up less than 2 percent of the genome. At first scientists did not understand why there was such an excess of RNA. Now some believe that the definition of a gene should be broadened.
