Youth sports are just the first step


It has been found that over half of kids ages twelve to seventeen that are overweight play a sport. Many children that are involved in many activities have after thought diets. This means that many will eat fast food or their parents will purchase fast food for their children with the mindset that the calories will be burned off at practice. This logic is incorrect according to researchers because most children are idle for nearly half of practice and the exercise does not exceed the greasy foods and heavily sugared soft drinks.
