Women at greater risk for alcohol damage

A new study shows that alcoholism is faster and more extreme in women. For every 4 years of alcohol dependence in women, they showed the same effect as a male being dependent for 14 years. Because alcohol affects women more strongly (because of their smaller stature) the effects of alcohol are intensified.
