Study: Vitamin D helps bone health only with calcium
A review of 50 studies regarding vitamin D show that the traditional benefits one always associates with the supplement are only received if one also has a sufficient amount of calcium. The veracity of this claim is much supported by the wide range of studies telling us the same thing. Another blow to the supplement, the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF), is telling us that it is too soon to tell if vitamin D can help prevent cancer. While vitamin D is still widely considered an important part of one's diet, it is only one in a wide range of necessary nutrients.
