Soccer Anxiety Leads to Addison’s Diagnosis

A woman watching the final intense minutes of a Manchester United Soccer game experienced a severe anxiety attack. The doctors who treated her diagnosed her with Addison’s disease, a lack of cortisol produced in the adrenal cortex. She is now taking replacement hormones and is able to attend the Manchester United games without any fatigue or light-headedness.
