Beginning in January, there will be a test run of a new Medicare system. There will be 17,000 people in San Fransisco taking part in this experiment which will hopefully uncover a cheaper, more efficient way to give coverage. This plan hopes to increase the hospitals' follow up on discharged patients, thus reducing the amount of patients that need to be readmitted.
