Are organic, cage-free eggs safer?

The topic of this article is weather organic, cage-free eggs are safer from Salmonella than non-organic eggs. There are a few interesting topics this brings up. The first is salmonella bacteria can come into contact with chickens regardless of their facility. So, neither one is necessarily safer than the other. The next thing it brings up is how well you want to know where your food is coming from. What matters more to you? Is it cheap eggs? Or, eggs from the guy down the road you know for a fact takes care of his chickens? I think its a personal question we all have to answer for ourselves.
