Scientists at the University of Texas Southwestern have created a new form of flu vaccine. Instead of using the most probable flu virus, they are instead turning into the human body for added defense. The vaccine will boost REDD-1 inside of the body. This helps in an overall protection to many flu viruses, not just one. It will even protect against the virus the spanish flu virus that caused a pandemic in 1918.
