U.N. Panerl Finds Climate Change Behind Some Extreme Weather Events

As Minnesotans, we understand weather. We are used to the freezing temperatures and massive snow fall. This year, however, you may have noticed the increasingly high temperatures and scarce snowfall. Global warming is an issue that has been on our minds for sometime, and a recent statement issued by the United Nations this week states that climate change is only going to worsen with the increase affects of global warming. Flooding, tornadoes, typhoons, and hurricanes are increasing in force and number. With the increase in urbanization and industrious cities spanning over third world countries, we are creating more green house gases in our atmosphere than ever. According to the UN panel, this human induced global warming will cause more extreme weather, and the potential for intense natural disasters.
