Visible Proofs: Forensic Views of the Body

This entire website is pretty AWESOME! It'll definitely interest any crime or forensic science TV fans (CSI, Bones, House, Dexter, etc.) As an educational/learning source, you can explore the website and learn about forensic crime investigation from a number of view points, such as the medical coroner's and forensic anthropologist's. There are cool interviews that you can watch and, in general, you can learn a little bit of the knowledge medical coroners and forensic anthropologists utilize in order to do their jobs. For example, petechial hemorrhaging is found in the tissue of the eyelids and is denoted by tiny, red "pinpoint" dots. The presence of these indicates that the person, at some point, suffered from some sort of affixiation.

This is just ONE example of the many really fascinating things you can learn from the site. It's pretty interactive and there are a lot of pictures to look at.

***As I write this, I'm watching a live autopsy!***  SO COOL!
