Three years ago, a team of researchers conducted a study on mammalian magneto-reception. This strange phenomenon involves the apparent sensitivity of certain animals to the earth's magnetic field. This particular study utilized Google Earth to find satellite images of grazing cows. The researchers believed that cows tend to align themselves with respect to earth's magnetic field lines. However, recent reevaluation of the study suggests that it was conducted using poor experimental method, thus making the results flawed and quite possibly meaningless.
