Cloning a Prize Bull
I am part of the group who's controversial topic is cloning and throughout my research I came across this interesting article in the NY Times that I thought shed light on some of the realities of cloning.
A man in Spain owns a bull that has become famous in Spain for it's participation in bullfights. Unfortunately this bull is aging, as all things do, and isn't going to be around forever. This man wants to preserve this bull, so he is going to have some cells removed from it by a company that deals with genetics and cloning, so that some day he can have another bull just like it.
Read the article and you will see some of the opinions presented about what he is doing, which also deal with animal rights and respect, among other things. Enjoy!
