Non-overlapping magisteria for the social and biological?

This article applies Stephen J Gould's idea of non-overlapping magisteria (NOMA) to something other than simply the separation of science and religion. In this article, the author applies the concept to social scientists vs biological scientists and how they discus race/ethnic background. It talks about how the 'language' used to discuss the topic from the two different perspectives should be different, and yet how this is quite difficult to do.
