Brain operates like "A Country Club"

In a new study observing the wiring of neurons within the brain, research finds that the strength of our minds lies not in the number of our neurons, but the strength of their connections to each other. They also observe that the stronger the connections in the "central hubs" of our brains, the more damage resilient they are.

They compare the shared responsibility and distrubution of power to that of a "well-run country club". Very interesting article that helps us understand the importance of neural connections and the concept of "neurons that fire together, wire together."
